Questions people ask

Can you guarantee me a job?

No. Hiring decisions belong to employers. I help you apply with a stronger, clearer and better organised approach.

How long does the work take?

A CV and LinkedIn check usually takes a few days. A fuller search plan runs over several weeks. We agree timing before we begin.

Do we meet online?

Yes. Sessions happen by video call, and documents are shared by email or a shared folder we agree on.

What do I need for our first conversation?

Just a rough idea of the role you want and where you are stuck. You do not need a perfect CV.

Is my information kept private?

Yes. Please do not send your full CV or sensitive details until we have agreed how to share them securely.

About Victoria

Direct, prepared and on your side from the first conversation to the offer.

Victoria Olasupo-Ogunsola, Job Search Consultant

Hello, I'm Victoria

I help people get taken seriously by employers. That is the whole job.

Most people do not lose opportunities because they lack ability. They lose them because their CV hides their strengths, their applications are scattered, or they walk into an interview without a plan. I find those problems quickly, tell you plainly what they are, and fix them with you.

Job searching is not luck. It is preparation, clear communication and consistent action, and those are skills I teach and practise with every client. I work one-to-one and remotely, so you get my full attention and support wherever you are.

What changes when you work with me

This is the shift I work towards with every client.

BeforeScattered applications to any role that looks possible
AfterA focused plan built around clear target roles
BeforeA CV that lists duties and gets skimmed
AfterA CV that shows achievements and earns a second look
BeforeDreading interview questions
AfterPrepared, practised answers backed by real examples
BeforeSilence from recruiters
AfterA profile that makes your value obvious in seconds
BeforeDoubt about whether you are good enough
AfterConfidence that comes from knowing you are prepared

Why clients choose me

The job market is crowded. These are the reasons my clients stand out in it.

Personal, never a template

Every document and plan is built around your experience and your target roles. Nothing is copied and pasted from someone else.

Honest feedback

I tell you what is not working, even when it is uncomfortable, because that is what actually improves your results.

The whole search, not one document

Strategy, CV, LinkedIn, applications, interviews and offers are handled together, so every part supports the others.

Clear terms upfront

You know what you will receive, how long it takes and what it costs in writing before any work begins.

Skills you keep

You leave with templates, trackers and a method you can use for the rest of your career, not just for this search.

Truthful by principle

I present your real strengths at their best and never inflate them. That protects you in interviews and background checks.

Is this right for you?

I am the right choice if you

  • Are ready to act on honest feedback
  • Want a clear plan and someone to keep you accountable
  • Want your real experience presented powerfully

I am not the right choice if you

  • Want a guaranteed job
  • Want skills or experience invented for you
  • Are looking for a quick fix with no effort

Ready to stand out?

Start with a free, well-detailed conversation. You will leave knowing exactly what to fix first.

Insights

Practical, plain-English advice on CVs, applications and interviews.

Five CV mistakes that cost people interviews

Recruiters often spend seconds on a first look. These five problems are the ones I see most.

1. Listing duties instead of results

"Responsible for social media" says what the job was. "Grew followers from 400 to 2,100 in 18 months" says what you achieved. Start each bullet with an action and finish with the outcome, using a real number whenever you honestly have one.

2. Sending the same CV everywhere

Read the job description and mirror its key words, but only where they truthfully describe your experience. A tailored CV shows you read the role.

3. Making it too long or crowded

One to two pages is enough for most people. White space makes a CV easier to skim.

4. A vague opening

Replace "hard-working team player" with two or three lines on who you are, what you do well and the role you want.

5. Typos and uneven formatting

Read it aloud, check dates and fonts, and ask someone else to read it. Small errors suggest a lack of care.

4 min read | Interviews

Interview answers you can actually remember

You do not need to memorise scripts. You need a handful of strong, true stories you can adapt.

Use the STAR method

Describe the Situation, the Task you had, the Action you took and the Result. Spend most of your time on the action and the result.

Prepare five or six stories

Choose examples that cover teamwork, solving a problem, working under pressure, handling a mistake and an achievement you are proud of. One story can answer several different questions.

Practise out loud

Saying answers aloud shows you where they are unclear or too long. Aim for about two minutes each.

Research the employer

Know what they do, who they serve and why the role exists. Prepare two or three thoughtful questions to ask them.

Follow up

Send a short thank-you message the same day, mentioning something specific from the conversation.

A weekly routine that keeps you moving

Job searching works better as a steady routine than as bursts of panic.

Set a realistic weekly target

Choose a number you can sustain, such as five well-matched applications, rather than dozens of rushed ones.

Block the time

Put two or three focused sessions in your calendar. Treat them like appointments.

Track everything

Keep a simple sheet with the role, company, date applied, contact and next step. It also tells you when to follow up.

Follow up and reach out

Check in about a week after applying, and send two short messages a week to people in your target field.

Review and rest

Look back each Friday at what worked, and take at least one full day off. Rested people interview better.
